A 300 hour course that makes Yoga available to Everyone
With a keen interest in alignment-based yoga for diverse body types, Dianne is a world leader in making the physical practice accessible for everyone. Imagine having the skills to teach to EVERYONE in the room including older populations, those with injuries and/or other physical limitations.
In addition to the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga we will take a deep dive into making the world a more just and equitable place. This training, with guest speakers from diverse communities, provides a culturally sensitive learning environment that provides you with a framework for supporting people with disabilities, the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and anyone else who has been marginalized.
This training expands on your practical teaching knowledge while simultaneously helping you to understand your role in creating a sublimely accessible yoga community and what you can do to make real change when you see a need.
*Applicants for the 300-hour RYTT must have a deep understanding of anti-racism work, implicit bias, and structural racism. To be successful, applicants must have begun their own work to address inner (complicit) bias, prejudice, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, sexism, and racism.
A cool and refreshing breeze of understanding. There’s no truth Dianne won’t say to help you discover and deliver the mechanics of equitable yoga–yoga that leaves no one behind. She’ll help you overcome your hesitation and simply work confidently with all bodies. Dianne understands, because of her personal journey, that the practice is available to everyone when we know how to adapt it to the bodies in front of us.
Dianne is a ubiquitous contributor to the top Yoga publications, wrote the best-selling book, Yoga Is For Everyone, and co-authored Yoga Where You Are. As the owner of a yoga studio for over a decade, Dianne understands the many hurdles and triumphs you face as an inclusive yoga instructor and activist. She’ll help you walk the 8-limbed yoga path with courage, strength, visibility, and passion so that YOU can share the many benefits of yoga with everyone you touch.
